Nearly 988,000 New Consumers Enroll In Health Insurance Marketplace During First Month Of Open Enrollment

During the first month of the Marketplace Open Enrollment period, as of December 4, 2024, 987,869 consumers who were not previously covered through individual market Marketplace plans had enrolled in coverage for 2025. Nearly 4.4 million existing consumers have already returned to the Marketplace to select a plan for 2025. In total, nearly 5.4 million people have enrolled in a Marketplace plan. The new consumers represent 18.4% of enrollments.
