HRSA Commits $52 Million To Health Centers For Services To Support People Leaving Incarceration
On November 22, 2024, the federal Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) announced it awarded $52 million to 54 HRSA-funded health centers in 26 states specifically to increase access to primary care for people soon to be released from incarceration and reentering the community. The awards ranged in size from $500,000 to $1 million. In 11 states, one health center was awarded funding.
