Marijuana Use Declined Nearly One-Third Among U.S. Youth Between 2011 & 2021

About 31.6% fewer U.S. high school students reported current marijuana use in 2021 compared to 2011, at 15.8% compared to 23.1%. The percentage who self-reported trying marijuana for the first time before age 13 also declined, from 8.1% in 2011 to 4.9% in 2021.
