Following an investigation, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) found that conditions at Georgia’s Fulton County jail violate the constitution and federal law. Specifically, conditions of confinement at the Fulton County Jail in Georgia violate inmates’ rights as outlined in the Eighth and Fourteenth Amendments of the United States Constitution, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
