Kentucky Medicaid received federal approval to increase reimbursement rates for its six 1915(c) waivers for comprehensive home- and community-based services (HCBS), effective January 1, 2025. The new rates are based on a rate study and rate increases funded in the 2024-2026 state budget.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved amendments for the new waiver rates in mid-December 2024. The affected waivers are as follows: Acquired Brain Injury; Acquired Brain Injury Long Term Care; Home and Community Based; Model II Waiver; Michelle P. Waiver; and Supports for Community Living.
