Michigan Courts Create New Juvenile Status Offense Diversion Project For Low-Risk Youth

Michigan State Court Administrative Office (SCAO) created a new Status Offense Diversion Project grant program for juvenile courts to support pilot projects to divert low-risk youth status offenders toward community-based services and away from formal juvenile court involvement and incarceration. SCAO is partnering with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and the Michigan Committee on Juvenile Justice (MCJJ) to present this grant opportunity.
