Nebraska Increases Oversight Of Medicaid-Covered ABA Services
On February 7, 2025, the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) implemented new oversight guidelines for Medicaid coverage of applied behavioral analysis (ABA) for children diagnosed with autism. For most children, ABA hours will be limited to 30 hours per week. However, provider organizations can request additional hours by submitting a prior authorization request to the child’s Medicaid managed care organization (MCO).
