PointClickCare & MassHealth Launch A Behavioral Health Treatment & Referral Platform
PointClickCare, which provides a health care technology platform to support care collaboration and consumer insights, launched a new behavioral health treatment and referral platform with the Massachusetts Medicaid program, MassHealth. The Behavioral Health Treatment and Referral Platform is intended to address MassHealth challenges associated with behavioral health boarding.
MassHealth will use the platform statewide. It is designed to support the Commonwealth's Expedited Psychiatric Inpatient Admission (EPIA) protocol by streamlining referral processes, sharing essential information on provider organization capacity, standardizing admissions information, and offering a transparent view of people awaiting inpatient psychiatric placement in emergency departments or medical-surgical floors . . .
