Nevada Selects Five Health Plans For Next Medicaid/CHIP Contracts
On March 12, 2025, the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services Division of Health Care Policy and Financing (DHCPF) issued notices of intent to award the next Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) managed care contracts to five managed care organizations (MCOs). The state selected bids from its four Medicaid MCO incumbents--Centene/SilverSummit HealthPlan (Centene), Elevance/Anthem/Community Care Health Plan of Nevada (Elevance), Molina Healthcare of Nevada, Inc. (Molina), and UnitedHealthcare/Health Plan of Nevada (UnitedHealthcare). It also selected a bid submitted by a non-incumbent, CareSource.
These contracts will cover about 590,000 members . . .
