About 88% of those eligible for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits in fiscal year 2022 received them. However, participation rates varied between states, ranging from 59% in Arkansas to 100% in 11 states and the District of Columbia. The 10 states with full SNAP participation rates by people eligible for the benefit in 2022 were Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Mexico, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Washington, and Wisconsin.
