Kentucky Medicaid Planning To Increase HCBS Waiver Income Eligibility From 100% FPL To 300%

The Kentucky Medicaid program plans to submit requests to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to renew the state’s Section 1915(c) Home and Community-based (HCB) and Model II (MII) Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waiver demonstrations. The HCB demonstration application proposes to change the consumer liability standard from 100% of the federal poverty level (FPL) to 300% of FPL. The waivers serve beneficiaries with a disability who need nursing facility-level of care and who want to remain living in the community.

Public comments on the waiver will be accepted through April 13 . . .
