Incidence Of Cannabis Use Disorder Associated With Schizophrenia Nearly Triples After Recreational Usage Legalized In Ontario, Canada
After the Canadian Province of Ontario legalized the recreational use of cannabis, the incidence of cannabis use disorder associated with schizophrenia increased from 3.7% before legal use (before November 2015) to 10.3%. The province changed its regulation of cannabis in two stages. In December 2015, the province liberalized the use of medical and non-medical cannabis, and in October 2018, non-medical cannabis use was legalized.
