7 Million Americans Are Living With Alzheimer’s Dementia, Up 4% From 2024

About 7.2 million Americans age 65 and older are living with Alzheimer’s dementia in 2025, about 4% more than the estimated 6.9 million in 2024, according to a report by the Alzheimer’s Association. About 39% of those living with Alzheimer’s dementia are between the ages of 75 and 84, representing 2.8 million people, and about 13.2% of that age group.
