Feds Halt Enforcement Of Updated Mental Health Parity Act
On May 15, 2025, three federal agencies, the Department of Labor (DOL), Health and Human Services (HHS), and the Treasury announced that they would not enforce the September 2024 Final Rule for the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA). The announcement noted that this action applies only to those portions of the 2024 Final Rule that are new in relation to the 2013 MHPAEA Final Rule.
