Michigan Medicaid Survey Finds Dissatisfaction With Breadth Of Care Options For Behavioral Health
Michigan Medicaid beneficiaries and provider organizations participating in public specialty behavioral health services both expressed dissatisfaction with the breadth of available care options, which they said limited access, according to a stakeholder survey. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) stated in its analysis of its survey that dissatisfaction with access to care could be the result of having too few provider organizations in-network with the regional prepaid inpatient health plans (PIHPs) that manage and deliver Medicaid-covered specialty behavioral health services. ;
