Alabama Adopts Legislation To Act On Recommendations For Improving Reentry Support
Alabama recently enacted laws to reduce barriers to employment and community reintegration for people in reentry after incarceration. The legislation is part of the state’s approach to act on recommendations from the Reentry Alabama Commission, which called for a coordinated set of supports. The legislation and new supports are part of the state’s commitment made in joining Reentry 2030 to reduce recidivism by 50% and increase participation in workforce development by 50%.
