Rising Proportion Of U.S. Adults With Hypertension, Diabetes & High Cholesterol Unaware Of Their Cardiac Risk Factors
The proportion of adults in the United States who have one or more cardiac risk factors (hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol) increased between 2013 and 2023, according to a recent study. The proportion with hypertension who were unaware of the condition increased from 14.6% in 2013 to 17.8% in 2023. The proportion with diabetes, but unaware of it, increased from 27.5% to 28.9%.
