Kentucky Medicaid Planning To Refer Unemployed Expansion Beneficiaries To Job Placement Assistance Ahead Of Federal Budget Bill Medicaid Work Requirement
The Kentucky Medicaid program plans to implement a work and work preparation requirement for able-bodied beneficiaries in the Medicaid expansion population that would require them to participate in job placement assistance. The state estimates that about 60,000 of the 459,380 individuals in the Medicaid expansion eligibility group (as of May 2025) will be subject to the waiver requirements.;;
