Online CBT Improves Mental Health For People With Inflammatory Rheumatic Diseases
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) improved psychological outcomes and quality of life in adults with inflammatory rheumatic diseases (IRDs) more than usual treatment for adults with IRDs and psychological distress, when delivered in a self-guided, online program, according to a recent study. After three months, 59.2% of those who used the online CBT program and 34.0% of those who received only treatment as usual reportedly experienced a clinically meaningful improvement in psychological distress.
