HHS Announces Actions To Address Rising Autism Prevalence

At a September 22 press event, President Donald J. Trump and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. announced actions to address what an accompanying press release described as an "autism spectrum disorder (ASD) epidemic." Actions include a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) label update for leucovorin for cerebral folate deficiency, authorizing treatment for children with ASD and enabling state Medicaid programs to cover leucovorin for the indication of ASD.
