Colorado Medicaid To Align Reimbursement Rates To Families Caring For An Adult With Disabilities To Host Home Rates
The Colorado Medicaid program plans to align the reimbursement rates for Individual Residential Services and Supports (IRSS) for people with developmental disabilities for family caregiver homes with rates paid to Host Homes providing IRSS, according to a fact sheet issued by the state. The IRSS service is available only to people served through the Colorado Developmental Disabilities waiver, which offers residential services in various settings. The Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF) must implement new rules to support this change, which are expected in March 2026.
