About 72% of youth ages 13 to 17 in the United States have used an artificial intelligence (AI) companion at least once, according to a survey conducted by Common Sense Media, which describes its purpose as seeking to improve the lives of children and families by providing information and education. Over half of American youth (52%) qualify as regular users who interact with these platforms at least a few times a month, the report stated.
