Florida Seeks To Relieve Those Permanently Disabled From 12-Month Medicaid Eligibility Redetermination
In a request dated November 4, 2025, Florida sought to amend its Section 1115(a) Research and Demonstration Managed Medical Assistance Waiver with a request for an eligibility redetermination exemption. The state is proposing to exempt individuals who are permanently disabled from the 12-month Medicaid redetermination requirement to prevent disenrollment due to administrative or procedural reasons and to mitigate gaps in Medicaid coverage.
