Bell County, Texas, Contracts With Armor Health To Provide Correctional Medical, Mental Health & Pharmacy Services At More Than $8 Million Annually

Bell County, Texas, selected Armor Health to provide correctional health services at the Bell County Jail facilities in Belton and the Juvenile Detention Center in Killeen, according to an announcement by Armor Health.

The contract went live in the first quarter of 2025. Armor is providing medical and mental health services and is also responsible for pharmacy services. The contract is valued at more than $8 million annually.

The county rebid the contract in 2024 after its former contractor, Turnkey, notified the county that it intended to exit the contract, according to a local news article. A request for proposals . . .
