$72 Million Private Grant To Fund Three-Year CCBHC Expansion Pilot In Illinois, Kansas & Michigan

The National Council for Mental Wellbeing (the National Council) and the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors (NASMHPD) announced a $72 million pilot project to fund expansion of Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) in Illinois, Kansas, and Michigan. Funding for the three-year pilot is provided by a grant awarded by Ballmer Group Philanthropy, founded by Connie and Steve Ballmer, to the National Council and NASMHPD.

CCBHCs provide mental health and addiction treatment regardless of a person’s ability to pay. They provide a range of services including outpatient treatment, recovery supports, crisis services, and integrated care . . .
