Behavioral Health Merger & Acquisition Volume Rose More Than 42% In 2025
The number of mergers and acquisitions in the behavioral health sector increased by 42% between 2024 and 2025, rising from 73 transactions in 2024 to 104 in 2025, according to a recent report. During the same period across 12 service sectors, merger and acquisition volume increased by 3%. Across the 12 service sectors, deal volume change ranged from a decline of 35% for outpatient surgery centers to the 42% increase for behavioral health provider organizations.
