Missy brings more than two decades of healthcare experience to Alera Health, spanning both provider and payor environments. She began her career as a licensed social worker, supporting individuals and families navigating complex behavioral health and social care needs, an experience that continues to inform her people-centered approach to healthcare strategy. More recently, Missy served in senior leadership roles at Optum, where she worked closely with providers, provider networks, state partners, and health plan partners to advance value-based care strategies, improve access, and drive measurable outcomes for complex populations.
At Alera Health, Missy will lead a payor partnership strategy across current and emerging markets, supporting the expansion and performance of ONEcare Networks while aligning payor goals with network and provider capabilities and community needs. Her role will focus on cultivating collaborative relationships, supporting innovative contracting models, and ensuring that payor partnerships are designed to enable whole-person, integrated care.
