Pilot Telehealth Mind-Body Program Found Feasible For Rural Veterans With Chronic Pain
A telehealth, multicomponent pilot intervention with mind-body components for rural veterans increased access to non-pharmacological approaches to managing chronic pain. The researchers concluded that the intervention was feasible and acceptable for veterans with chronic pain. Each participant reported experiencing pain most days during the three months before enrolling in the study.
The 12-week virtual intervention consisted of a 50-minute individual session with a whole health coach followed by 11 facilitated 90-minute group sessions.
