OPEN MINDS Hosts Executive Roundtable On Implementing A Whole-Person Care Strategy

Gettysburg, PA (April 11, 2025)—OPEN MINDS will host an executive roundtable, Operationalizing Whole-Person Care: The VOAMASS Practical Blueprint For Integrated Service Delivery, on April 12, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. ET. The session will feature Charles E. Gagnon, President & Chief Executive Officer, and Mindy Miller, Chief Operating Officer, Volunteers of America of Massachusetts (VOAMASS).

Many provider organization executives face challenges in launching whole-person care models. A successful model requires clear integration of service delivery, defined outcomes, and alignment with value-based reimbursement, along with a practical approach to implementation.

The session will highlight the VOAMASS whole-person care model, a data-informed approach designed to improve access, strengthen continuity of care, and address the underlying drivers of instability. The model incorporates person-centered planning, trauma-informed care, harm reduction, equity, and shared decision-making to address both clinical and social factors affecting outcomes.

“The shift to whole-person care is well established, but implementing these models effectively is where many organizations struggle,” said Monica E. Oss, Chief Executive Officer of OPEN MINDS. “Understanding available models, selecting the right approach, and executing it successfully are all critical to delivering meaningful outcomes.”

Attendees will gain insight into launching this model, including intake and assessment processes, integrated care planning, interdisciplinary teamwork, and outcome measurement.

This executive roundtable is part of the ongoing OPEN MINDS series designed to provide senior leaders with practical, case-based strategies for operational excellence and sustainable growth.
