Only 18% Of Older Adults Prefer Assisted Living As Alternative To Aging At Home, Survey Finds
About 1 in 5 (18%) of adults aged 65 and older who live at home without a caregiver say they would prefer to move into an assisted living facility if independent living were no longer an option, according to a recent survey. The majority (60%) of older adults prefer to remain in their own home with caregiver support, while 11% say they would choose to move in with a family member.
