Annual Survey Finds 62% Of Health Care Executives Considering Leaving Their Organizations
62% of health care executives report they are considering leaving their organizations, while 38% say they plan to stay, according to a new survey from AMN Healthcare. The percentage of executives intending to stay increased from 34% in 2024 to 38% in 2025.
Short-term turnover intentions declined compared to the previous year. In 2025, 7% of respondents said their departure is imminent, down from 11% in 2024. The percentage planning to leave within six months declined from 15% to 11%, and those planning to leave within one year decreased from 20% to 17%.
