Health Care & Education Account For 94% Of March 2026 Private Job Growth As Other Sectors Stall Or Decline

In March 2026, private sector employment increased by 62,000 jobs, with 94% of those gains concentrated in education and health services, according to the ADP National Employment Report. During the same period, total private sector employment reached 132.3 million workers. Education and health services accounted for 26.5 million of those jobs, representing approximately 20% of total private sector employment.
