El Dorado County Awards $35 Million Psychiatric Facility Contract To Telecare

El Dorado County selected Telecare Corporation to operate the county’s 16-bed psychiatric health facility (PHF) in Placerville under a new five-year contract valued at approximately $35.2 million.

The county’s Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA), Behavioral Health Division issued a request for proposals (RFP) on October 8, 2025, seeking a qualified organization to operate the PHF and provide inpatient psychiatric services. Proposals were due November 7, 2025.

The county received proposals from Crestwood Behavioral Health, Inc.; Restpadd, Inc.; and Telecare, the current operator of the facility. Before outsourcing operations to Telecare, the county directly operated . . .
