A U.S. Army veteran has developed an artificial intelligence (AI) assistant to help other veterans navigate government benefit programs. The tool, called Chief Bud, is primarily focused on connecting veterans with housing resources—an area where, according to the platform's website, approximately 18 million veterans may be eligible for assistance because of their military service. The platform is currently in a pilot phase, with a broader public launch anticipated for summer 2026.
