UnitedHealthcare announced plans to reduce prior authorization requirements by 30% before the end of 2026. The changes will eliminate prior authorization requirements for additional services, including select outpatient surgeries, certain diagnostic tests such as echocardiograms, and some outpatient therapies and chiropractic care.
