Health Care Chapter 11 Bankruptcies Increased 33% In First Quarter 2026
During the first quarter of 2026, Chapter 11 bankruptcies in the health care industry increased 33%, rising from nine filings in the fourth quarter of 2025 to 12 filings, according to a recent report. Senior care provider organizations and clinics/physician practices each accounted for four filings, representing about two-thirds of all first-quarter health care bankruptcies.
