80% Of People With Major Depressive Disorder Do Not Believe Antidepressants Are Sufficient To Reach Remission
About 80% of people receiving antidepressant treatment for major depressive disorder (MDD) do not believe antidepressants alone will help them achieve remission, according to a global survey conducted as part of Johnson & Johnson's Generation Fine depression awareness campaign. About 75% said residual MDD symptoms affect their daily life. Nearly 90% said their symptoms affect their work habits and productivity. More than half said they isolate themselves due to their MDD symptoms.
About 40% of survey participants said they have not talked to their health care professional about their residual MDD symptoms because they lack the time or energy . . .
