Health Care & Education Account For 47% Of Private-Sector Job Growth In May 2026

Education and health services led all sectors in job creation during May 2026, adding 57,000 positions out of the 122,000 total private-sector jobs created that month, according to a recent report. The two sectors accounted for approximately 47% of all private-sector job growth.

These findings were reported in the ADP National Employment Report, an independent measure of the labor market produced by ADP Research in collaboration with the Stanford Digital Economy Lab.
