U.S. Chronic Kidney Disease Prevalence Stable From 2013 To 2023

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) affected approximately one in seven U.S. adults throughout the past decade, with prevalence remaining statistically unchanged between 2013-2014 and 2021-2023, according to a recent study. CKD prevalence increased only slightly, from 14.5% in the 2013-2014 survey cycle to 14.8% in 2021-2023, representing an estimated 36 million adults in the most recent survey cycle.
