Amazon Pharmacy Begins $50 GLP-1 Delivery For Medicare Bridge Program Beneficiaries
Amazon Pharmacy has begun dispensing weight management medications through the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program, giving eligible Medicare Part D beneficiaries access to certain glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) medications for a $50 copay with free home delivery. The short-term federal demonstration runs from July 1, 2026 through December 31, 2027.
The Medicare GLP-1 Bridge operates outside the standard Medicare Part D coverage and payment process. The Part D deductible does not apply, the $50 copay does not count toward a beneficiary's true out-of-pocket costs, and Part D plans do not assume financial risk . . .
