Cost Savings Found In 60% Of Studies On Patient-Centered Medical Homes
In January 2014, the Patient-Centered Primary Care Collaborative (PCPCC) expanded on its July 2013 review of four studies evaluating patient-centered medical home (PCMH) cost and quality results. The new report includes outcomes from 20 studies released between August 2012 and December 2013. The strongest findings were for reporting of cost savings and reductions in emergency department (ED) use.
