Maryland Serious Mental Illness Continuity of Care Advisory Panel, Final Report

The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene released the Continuity of Care Advisory Panel report. The Panel was convened to make recommendations to strengthen Maryland’s public behavioral health service delivery system, improve health outcomes, and address deficiencies that lead to interruptions in care for individuals with serious mental illness. The recommendations have been presented to the legislature for additional action. The Panel’s report has 25 recommendations to address deficiencies to continuity of care in the following areas: accessibility of mental health records; services to address the needs of individuals with serious mental illness; workforce training; mental health . . .
