2013 National Disability Policy – A Progress Report: “Strength In Our Differences”
In October 2013, the National Council on Disability (NCD) released its annual report on the nation’s progress in achieving the ADA goals of equality of opportunity, independent living, full participation, and economic self-sufficiency for an estimated 57 million Americans with disabilities. The report highlights recent federal achievements from August 2012 to September 2013 and identifies areas where changes in public policy and additional steps are needed.
