Medicaid: Demographics And Service Usage Of Certain High-Expenditure Beneficiaries

In February 2014, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) released an analytical report (GAO-14-176) examining the demographics and service usage of high-expenditure Medicaid-only beneficiaries. The report considers (1) states’ spending on them compared with all other Medicaid beneficiaries; (2) their key characteristics; and (3) their service usage compared with all other Medicaid-only beneficiaries.
