Utah Freezes New Enrollments In Medicaid Autism Pilot Programs; Legislature Considering Options For Program
In January 2014, the Utah Department of Health (DOH) halted new enrollments in its Medicaid Autism Waiver Pilot Program because the program is slated to end in June 2014, unless reauthorized by the state legislature. If the legislature decides to continue the program, open enrollment periods will be determined at that time to take children onto the program as openings become available. Legislation, House Bill 88, has been introduced to continue the program.
