Illinois Department Of Corrections Seeks Substance Abuse Treatment Services

The Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) released the request for proposals (RFP 22032102) on October 11, 2013. The IDOC sought a contractor to operate an in-prison modified therapeutic community for all 671 offenders at the IDOC’s Southwestern Correctional Center—Fully Dedicated Drug Treatment Prison & Reentry Program and a separate 150-bed methamphetamine program. Proposals were due by November 5, 2013. On December 29, 2013, IDOC awarded the contract to the incumbent Community Education Centers, Inc. (CEC). The five-year contract, valued at $16 million, runs through December 28, 2018, followed by one five-year extension option . . .
