The workplan for fiscal year 2014 was released on January 31, 2014. The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) for the federal Department of Health and Human Services reported its invesigation projects for the year. Among them, the OIG is examining hospital executive salaries to determine the potential impact on the Medicare Trust Fund if limits were imposed on the amount of employee compensation that could be submitted to Medicare for reimbursement on future cost reports.
