Mercy Maricopa Integrated Care Launches Arizona Regional Behavioral Health Authority Contract

On April 1, 2014, Mercy Maricopa Integrated Care (Mercy Maricopa) launched operations as the Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA) for Maricopa County, and the other parts of Arizona Medicaid Geographic Service Area (GSA) 6.  There are more than 600,000 residents in the RBHA service area covered by this contract.

Mercy Maricopa is at risk for services provided to the following populations:

General mental health and addiction treatment provided to Medicaid-eligible children and adults, and to non-Medicaid eligible adults with serious mental illness (SMI) eligible for public behavioral health services; this population includes about 60,000 individuals.
