Pilot Study Finds Meaningful Savings In THE GREEN HOUSE® Model For Elder Care

The findings were reported in a research briefing on February 8, 2013, hosted by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF). The briefing, Redesigning the Nursing Home: How The Green House Project Is Improving The Way We Care For Older Americans, discussed the merits of the Green House model. The cost savings were calculated following a comparison of Medicare expenditures in Minnesota and Washington State for a group of 97 Green House residents and 158 residents of traditional nursing homes, both groups with similar care needs at admission.
