On April 16, 2014, the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) released a letter to the Special Litigation Unit of the Oregon DOJ following up on the Oregon unit's meeting with state officials in January concerning how the state will ensure that its public mental health system complies with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
